Pontoon Bridge, known as Mulberry Harbor, setup at Arrowmanches for War Machinery and Supplies.
Famous Pegasus Bridge under German control had to be seized to prevent German Tanks from countering the invading allies.
British Gliders flew within 47 yards, seized bridge with loss of only two men. Held bridge until relieved by the 82nd Airborne.
